Upon retirement she resided Watervliet where she enjoyed Paw Paw Lake and made new friends. She was a member of St. Catholic Church Watervliet along with the MECCA Club of Watervliet, participating community events. She also enjoyed visiting with friends at the Board of Trade. addition, enjoyed working her flowers, sitting on her deck overlooking Paw Paw Lake, feeding the birds, squirrels, stray cats and dogs and often finding a home for them.
